VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL 2010

We began our journey into space on June 21, 2010 with 151 children and over 50 volunteers for 5 days of music, drama, crafts, bible stories, snacks, games and science. We began each day at VBS learning about space from the Starship Commander (Zoe Boudart), Galileo (Ian Rademaker), and the VBS GPS (Galactic Praise Satellite). Through hands on activities we learned a Praise Phrase and a Bible Booster each day to keep us in orbit around the “son.”

 

Each morning we collected a monetary offering for Victoria United Methodist Church in Victoria, Chile. Our goal was to collect $800 to help fund a two week VBS program at Victoria UMC. The children of our church and community went above and beyond our goal and collected $1,200.00 that was sent to Chile.

 

Each child also received a picture of a child in Chile. We asked the children and their families to pray for the child and his/her family. We also sent pictures of our VBS children to Chile asking for prayers for our children and their families. It is awesome to be connected by praying families and children.
