Empowers Believers; Reaches the Community and Beyond
Committees where YOU can serve!
I've heard it said that committee meetings are like being nibbled to death by ducks. And I'm sure that we all have experienced those kind of meetings. Certainly meetings can be long. Assignments can be difficult. But the Gospel gets carried out in the real world — and a church committee is as real as it gets.
The church's numerous committees keep the church administratively sound; facilitate social action; perform community service; organize missions and reach out to the community and beyond. Committees encourage members new and old to become involved. The opportunities for meeting, sharing, and finding oneself in relationship with others may be as valuable a result of committee work as the jobs performed by the committee.
People like you are needed to serve on committees to energize our church. It’s not highly specialized skills that are needed—just a willingness to let your gifts blend harmoniously with those of others. If you function smoothly in your occupation, you can be useful in your church as well.
If you are interested in being a part, or in learning more, contact the church office at email@example.com or Pastor David at firstname.lastname@example.org or call the office at (847) 639-7627.
We need each other to lift common tasks up to serve God’s purpose.
